Canon EF 24mm f/2.8 Lens Test Images
The Canon EF 24mm f2.8 lens is a compact, light weight, fixed focal length lens. On a Canon 10D or any other similar camera with an APS-sized sensor, it is equivalent to a 38mm lens (35mm film equivalent). With a reasonably bright f/2.8 aperture, it is useful in low light situations. Since this is not a USM lens, it is rather noisy when focusing, but, that is a minor issue. Focusing is generally fast and accurate.
The test images below, taken on a Canon 10D, show that from f/5.6 through f/11, its image sharpness is outstanding. And at all other apertures, it is still very good to excellent.
